In the "Hand Works" upper extremity rehabilitation office, the owner wanted to feel like she and her clients were relaxing at the Ventura Beach. She had many fond memories of having grown up in Ventura. Included among the historic Ventura scenes are the Ventura Pier, Surfer's Point, and the defunct Oil Pier that was located near Rincon Beach.

The Pt. Hueneme Navy base wanted a playful and fun mural for their recreation room yet something symbolic of the Navy. This is where I learned that there are two separate divisions of the Navy: a construction battalion, the Sea Bees, and the ship division. I incorporated the slogan, "Accelerate Your Life" in graffiti on the battleship, as it comes breaking through the wall shooting out various sporting equipment.

Here's my great helper and student Jenny Rose helping me to paint these murals. at the Camarillo Children's Medical Group. Dr. Monisha Rao contacted me for drawings and ideas to create a new look for their Pediatrician Office. The doctors wanted a rainforest feel with various animals to keep the children and parents entertained, but not in a childish sense. In each of the 5 patient rooms I created the feel of visiting a different continent with animals and a setting from that particular region. It helped to create more of an adventure for the waiting patients. The interior designer Susan Faro, complimented the drawings well with matching colors and furniture upholstery to tie in the room very nicely with a fresh and modern look.

This is my favorite!
This room depicts a playful dolphin frolicking under the waves. Assistant Erin O'Brien in Ventura painted this room. She did an awesome job!

Tapestry of Praise is a Ventura based Messianic group, that hired me to paint a large mural for Passover (Pesach).
The remodel of the Cafeteria at Ventura County Christian School involved an Asian theme with the focal point being a large Mosaic Koi fish done in mosaic tiles and glass pieces. With the coordination of a winning design by senior Art Student Lucy Leake and Michelle we created a pleasing environment for the students to enjoy lunch in.
Los Primeros PTA hired my daughter and I to paint their logo on the front of the Building along with the new signage for the school. The school is located at 1555 Kendall in Camarillo,CA. The jaguar and paw prints are approximately 15' x 6' and done with Acrylics. This project was originally intended for the bldg on Ventura Blvd. and had to be redesigned. The PTA is a very dedicated group of parents!!

The Kohl family wanted a nautical theme for their son's nursery room, but wanted it painted in such a way that the toddler and young child could grow into it. The largest sailboat sports the name "Grace" for this young Christian couple and is painted close to the area they wanted the crib so the baby could view it. There are also seagulls and wisps of clouds hovering over the young child. A small dock is painted for a toddler's perspective rather than for an adult to invite the youngster into the painting. There is also a small bucket and shovel ready to be played with in the sand.

Dr. Wright wanted a playful area as patients were waiting for their Orthodontist appointment in Camarillo. On the wall there are various whimsical characters with braces that play with the children while they wait in the underwater theme waiting room. Here is a detail of Patrick racing to talk to SpongeBob who is wearing braces.

This new prophetic piece is called “The Victorious Bride of Christ”. It was created for a dancer friend. We all face obstacles in our life, uncertainties, demonic strongholds, doubt. But be reminded that angels are watching over us and if we have called Jesus Christ as our Lord, then we rest under the shelter of His wings. (Psalm 91) Keep looking forward and never give up! Heaven is before us, and His Love surrounds us.
The next painting is “Warrior Bride”. It is inspired from my love of Wonder Woman and knowing that we are more than conquerors thru Christ who strengthens us.
Next is “Explosion of the Spirit” that I created in an explorative workshop. Here I was able to break out of perfectionism and realism and I allowed myself to play with textures and acrylic paint and came up with this .
Next is my experimental piece “An Underwater Adventure”, where I practiced with dripping paint, stamps, adding water, random fun strokes, and even painting with my fingers! See my blog to hear about the process in breaking free when you are stuck.
My newest piece in Chalk pastels and excited to see it in T-shirts soon! Inspired at a Church service, by the Holy Spirit! I was God's hands holding my problems out to him of a broken marriage. Then I saw me zoom out seeing Him holding the world. Then a bright light of the Holy Spirit descending like a dove, enveloped the earth. Beyond that, I could see the galaxy. It reminded me of how at times He wants us to gain His perspective on the situations, to come up higher. God then took me further to see chains breaking free. May His Love set you free, whether it is bitterness, betrayal, divorce, addiction His LOVE is more POWERFUL!
Many of my new parents are turning to Home-schooling groups or hybrids. (Beacon Hill has half private and half homeschooling.) This tiger was painted in ACHEV’s homeschool group. These students have progressed quite a bit over the past year. So proud of all their work.
Gianna took some private lessons to fine tune her portrait drawing skills. By adding the shadows that at first seemed to dark to her, it made the entire face pop!
Madison began art classes when she was quite young and know she has become an accomplished artist. I love the warrior spirit in this drawing.
Young students in a private art class
Elora is a young student in a group class learning in an assortment of mediums. This piece for the Christmas season is in chalk pastels. It is extremely eye catching because of the black paper.
Julia a homeschooler is enjoying her social outings with other students her age and creating stunning art pieces. She created this piece in chalk pastels focusing on value in the white fox to create depth in the fur and texture in the landscape.
Many parents in California are opting to homeschool to help raise students who are strong in their beliefs and values. There are many alternatives to public school. For example, CASA in Camarillo and various charter schools like River Oaks and Blue Ridge Academy.
This group of friends came together for a day to enjoy painting something inspiring. They learned new techniques as they have not painted with acrylic before. All supplies were included in this class
Jr. High Art Class at Grace Brethren. Students learned portraits this is a final project.

Ayan and his sister were overwhelmed to go to the show and both walk away with cash that evening! The D.A. Davidson Group in Ventura hosts the VC Youth Art Exhibit and this year, these two new participants were happy to not just get a ribbon, but a great treat!
I am so glad Ayan is experimenting more with watercolors as it really made the background pop. He along with his sister are learning to use the oil pastels and watercolors in ways that most schools aren’t able to show techniques and allow children to create and learn how to use watercolors properly.
Another young artist that has placed several times at the VC Youth Art Show.
All my oil paintings are original and inspired by the beauty around me as well as adversities I have had to overcome through God’s strength.

God reminds me that He is my loving Father guiding me on a path of glory even if I don’t know where I am going. He is secure and faithful!
24" x 18" Oil paint inspired during a worship event, the "Judah Roaring" , the Lion of Judah, Praise, is roaring and bringing a declaration of the birth of Israel. And with one word Adonai spoke the world into existence.
I love the ocean and often dream of being a mermaid, hence "Wistful" was created. I also enjoy sailing and kayaking in the tranquil and restful quaint town of Morro Bay, California. Most of all, I love Yeshua, Jesus and the word of God,the Torah. God's word is a light and powerfully changes us and shapes our lives and thoughts hence changing the world we live in.
Most of my work started in Acrylics due to the easy clean up and I couldn't stand the smell of the oil paints. I also had four children that I didn't want to worry about using with my paints. Now my children are grown and I have gotten used to the smell, but I still enjoy the ease in cleanup with Acrylics.

I first discuss with you what your needs, design ideas, and scale of project are. I take measurements if it involves a mural, and I do a preliminary sketch. (please see Murals for more work examples) After discussing pricing options we arrange to proceed with your custom art piece. A deposit is required to commence all work. Payments are scheduled through out the stages of completion of the work. I want you to be satisfied with the colors and work so that we both are happy with your treasured piece of art.
Wes Gorospe and his family took a memorable trip to the Holy Land and he wanted 3 panels depicting memorable times in Christ's Life: The Tomb, the Vineyard (which is represented in many parables), and Golgatha. The panels are tied together with the warm glow of various orange and ochres.
The 2nd panel in the triptych for Wes Gorospe, with hidden elements from many parables.

This painting was commissioned by Tapestry of Praise for their office. I was given a picture of an ancient Spanish tapestry and asked to use that for the inspiration. To my surprise I saw a copy of the original in Toledo, Spain during my visit in 2014. To understand the symbolism used in the painting read Zechariah 4. An angel interprets the meaning of this vision of the golden lampstand and the two olive trees to Zechariah. I currently have a reproduction on canvas of this piece for sale as well as note cards.
I had the opportunity to paint a book cover in watercolors for a friend's novel he was self publishing.
This work was commissioned by Tapestry of Praise, for a Passover (Pesach Seder) dinner. The work expresses the open door, through a spiritual dimension, into Heaven. The blue and gold hues chosen by the Artist suggest the supernatural heavenly realm and the glory of God who inhabits it. The return of the Messiah boldly bursts forth at the Beautiful Gate of Jerusalem, the place where in deeply held tradition, the Messiah will return for His people. Hebrew symbols throughout the work communicate the message of the Torah.

What a lovely backdrop this was for a special Passover Seder hosted by Tapestry of Praise in Ventura.
Commissioned painting for a private home. Inspired from Revelations 22 in the Bible: a pure river of water flows from the Throne of God and of the Lamb. And there is a tree whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Mixed Media.
Watercolors can be tricky to work with, they aren't as spontaneous or forgiving as acrylics and oils. I love the transparency of watercolors and especially enjoy architectural subjects, having studied Architecture while in Italy for my senior year of college. Ah, I miss the interesting and artistic touches in the diverse styles of architecture in Europe. I have to go on treasure hunts to find interesting architectural styles.

Mixed Media art pieces are created on recycled door panels or canvas boards. Acrylic paint is applied and then a variety of media is applied on top in various layers. Sometimes I will stamp a piece with acrylic paint, or use collage, and whatever items seem to speak to me. It is spontaneous and fun!
